“I’m from Los Angeles and didn’t have many opportunities early on. Unfortunately, I also struggled with mental health issues. And then I made some poor choices. As a result, I was separated from my family and spent years in women’s institutions all across the country. While inside, I was given the chance to get an education through Orijin. Wow—their training was A+! I went through a ton of their tutorials, including social skills, financial skills, and interview preparation. Orijin brought me hope during a dark time, and that stability was priceless! After I was released and went home to Los Angeles, I applied to be a County Clerk three times and was denied each time. But I’d learned perseverance and been given hope through Orijin. I wrote a compelling Turnaround Letter. When Los Angeles County saw all my certificates and accomplishments, they finally hired me, and I now have a viable career! Thank you, Orijin—you gave me back my humanity!”
